On Friday, October 30th, Friends for Life Homecare participated in Park Blvd.'s annual trick or treat!

The event began at 3pm and lasted until 5pm. Many children from the area showed up in their best costumes.

Of course, COVID-19 rules still applied while trick or treating. Everyone was required to wear a mask while collecting candy from each store, and all residents had to remain socially distanced. It was nice to see children returning to some sort of normalcy after almost a year of isolation.

The children weren't the only ones in full costume. The Friends for Life team had a senior moment! All of the employees dressed from head to toe in their best elder costumes. "It was so much fun to dress up as the people we care so much about", says Nicole, a Friends for Life Employee. 

The team danced outside their store front and greeted the neighborhood with their "golden years" spirit! It was definitely a great way to kick off the Halloween weekend.

On Saturday, October 17th, Friends for Life Participated in a shopping event in the Village of Babylon!

People of all ages were strolling the Village and supporting local businesses. Many Babylon residents had the opportunity to spin the "Friends for Life prize wheel" for a chance to win awesome gift cards from local venders.

Friends for Life Homecare also had a great deal of people participate in their "Feed a Senior" Raffle. For a dollar a raffle, each ticket is entered to win a big basket, filled with goods from Babylon Merchants. The money accumulated from the raffle goes to the Friends for Life "Feed a Senior" mission, where they will donate lunches to seniors throughout the community.

It was truly a great day. The team is so thankful for all who stopped by their storefront on Saturday. We are so happy to be apart of the Village of Babylon.

On Sunday October 4th, Friends for Life Homecare took part in Babylon Village's 6th Annual Shopping Crawl. 

Many gathered from 11am to 4pm to support local business and take part in this Village shopping spree.

Tons of residents stopped by to spin the wheel and claim prizes throughout the day. Prizes ranged from "Friends for Life" Goodies to a variety of Gift Cards. 

The Friends for Life Team was so thankful for the local businesses throughout the village for their generous gift cards for the day's giveaways!

Friends for Life also raffled off a gorgeous gift basket which included a $75 gift card to Home Goods. All of the proceeds generated from the raffle went to the "Feed a Senior" program, created by Friends for Life.

It was such a great day of participating in this year's crawl and the team is looking forward to elevating the fun at the next event!

On Wednesday, September 23rd, Friends for Life Homecare was finally able to celebrate their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at our Babylon Village Location.

Friends for Life Homecare Originally opened its doors to it's third location in February of 2020. Shortly after settling into the Babylon Village location, the coronavirus pandemic swept the nation. Unfortunately throughout the pandemic, they could not have a grand opening or meet new clients in person, but that didn't stop them from helping as many people as they could.

After a long 8 months, the celebration began. The Ribbon Cutting started at 12:30 and continued until 5pm. Friends, family members and neighbors gathered to show support for the new Friends for Life location. The event was filled with delicious food, good conversation and a massive cake made by Torta Fina Bakery.

Friends for Life is truly grateful to be apart of such a fantastic community. They are so excited to begin this new chapter. The positive response from the surrounding business's in the village has been overwhelming.

The Friends for Life team will continue to help everyone and anyone who walks through the door. Thank you for celebrating and thank you for being our Friend for Life.
