20 May Supporting Our Local Assisted Livings
On Wednesday, May 20th, Friends for Life took a trip to The Bristal in Massapequa. The team delivered individual lunches to give some relief to those working at the facility. In order for the seniors to receive the best care, the caretakers must be in good health and spirits as well.
Each employee was able to take a meal bag and enjoy a good lunch during their long shift. The lunches were fresh from their friends at Broadway Gourmet in Massapequa. They are always eager to help Friends for Life in giving back to the community.
Friends for Life has been honing in on assisted livings, nursing homes and rehabs to make sure these dedicated essential workers receive support. They have been donating to places such as, Berkshire Rehabilitation Center in Babylon, The Bristal in West Babylon, and now, The Bristal in Massapequa. The positive feedback from those at each facility is reassuring that Friends for Life is making a difference. Healthcare workers in assisted livings, rehabs and nursing homes have been working long hours, day and night. Some employees work through breakfast and lunch, others work through dinner and beyond.
Friends for Life will continue to donate to the front line and essential workers during this time. The team is appreciative of all those working hard to support the senior community!
