Friends for Life Receives a Visit from Oldest Client’s Son
Friends for Life recently received a kind gift from the son of a client for the Holidays. The son of a former client stopped by with a few thankful words for owner Michael Recco.
Former client, Gussie Di Marino, was Friends for Life’s oldest client. She was 109 years old under their care and remained a full time client for 5 years.
Recently, Gussie’s son came by to thank Michael and the team for their care and compassion towards his mother. “Mike always made sure there was seamless coverage for her whenever the regular aide was unable to attend. They were there at her side during crisis at home and in the hospital. I felt a sense of security that my mother was being taken care of during my absence” wrote son, Mr. Di Marino.
Michael Recco’s love and connection to Gussie was mutual. “She would tell me, ‘if you want to live as old as me, you better start eating garlic'”, Michael said with a smile.
Friends for Life was proud to have taken care of such a wonderful woman and appreciative of Mr. Di Marino’s kind words. It was truly one of the most special gifts to receive this holiday.
