Friends for Life Treats McKenna Seniors to Valentines Day Luncheon
On Wednesday, February 12th, Friends for Life Homecare took the McKenna Senior’s out for a fantastic, Valentines day treat! Amy and the team treated all the seniors from the McKenna senior center to a luncheon at Patrizia’s of Massapequa.
The afternoon was filled with love and excitement. The tables were decorated with heart balloons and a slideshow played all afternoon on the TV’s in the dining room. The slideshow showed pictures of every visit Friends for Life had at the McKenna Senior Center. All of these memories are extremely special to the team.
Sweet melody’s echoed throughout the dining room with tunes of old love songs played on acoustic guitar. The entertainment surely got everyone on their feet and dancing all day long. The music ranged from Italian love songs, to classic Elton John tunes.
Though the live music was a crowd favorite, the entertainment did not stop there. The team brought a big photo booth complete with props so everyone can create Valentine’s day memories. Everyone got to take home a printed photo of themselves and their friends backed with a valentines day boarder.
After a tasty lunch, came desert and beverages. Everything was simply delicious. By the end of the night, each senior got to take home a Friends for Life mug, filled with chocolate hearts. Friends for Life was thrilled to have hosted such a successful Valentines Day Luncheon with their favorite seniors and they cannot wait for what is to come!
