Friends for Life Donates to The Bristal in West Babylon
On Thursday, May 7th, Friends for Life Homecare visited The Britsal Assisted Living at West Babylon. The team successfully donated individual dinners to relieve those working at the facility.
Friends for Life has been honing in on assisted livings, nursing homes and rehabs to make sure the hard working staff receives support. Recently, the team donated 100 boxes of lunch to Berkshire rehab in Babylon to support the healthcare workers. The overwhelming response from Berkshire was gratifying. It reassured Friends For Life that this was something important. They wanted to continue their mission and donate to a local assisted living.
Healthcare workers in assisted livings, rehabs and nursing homes have been working plenty of hours, day and night. Some employees work through breakfast and lunch, others work through dinner and beyond. On Thursday, they decided to donate to the night staff. In order for the seniors to receive the best care, the caretakers must be in good health and spirits as well. Each employee was able to take a dinner box and enjoy a good meal before their long shift.
The dinners were fresh from Broadway Gourmet in Massapequa. They are always a huge help when Friends for Life is donating large sums of food.
