10 Aug Block Party on Deer Park Ave
On Thursday, August 5th, Babylon Chamber hosted another fun block party on Deer Park Ave. The street was filled with a nice crowd to support their local businesses. Live music, games, shops and outdoor seating at restaurants were all available in the village.
Friends For Life sold $1 raffles and had lots of giveaways, with all proceeds being donated to our “Feed a Senior” Program. They raffled off a 32” flatscreen, as well as a lottery board worth $100 – the winners were beyond excited to receive their prizes.
Friends for Life also had a ‘picture perfect’ moment! They had a cardboard cutout with 2 senior citizens on it, where residents can put their ‘face-in-hole’ for a photo-op.
Being out with the Babylon community on a summer evening in the village is really a great way to start the weekend. Thank you to the Babylon Chamber for hosting such a great event, and for everyone who participated in the fun! We are so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community.
